Essays of Eloquence

Before I knew what I had to be I knew what I was,

The reason I knew what I was is because of the words,

The words that gave me limitless possiblities where I was an epic heroine,

I learned to love and to lose,

Dealing with the consequnces of the power to choose,

Through the characters most beloved and underated,

Then I graduated,

I became the author a task most daunting,

Thinking of how flaunting my most powerful passions,

Would and could change the thoughts of those around me,

Poetry is the most eloquent essay the most enthralling speach,

It brings people to their feet,

It crushes them to their knees,

Or it tickles like the softest fuzz on a peach,

Poetry is word essays most eloquently spoken that teach you who to be.

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
