Erase the Hate

It's going to take more than white washing walls in bathroom stalls,

It's going to take more than "unfriending" and blocking,

It's going to take more than pulling your hair down low over your face,

Turning the bend, praying you don't running into the bullies again,

To erase the hate here.

It's going to take more than "It'll be okay."

It's going to take more than "Just get through today."

It's going to take more than, "Just go away!"

To erase the hate here.

You can paint over it, try to erase it, subdue it--

It's going to take more.

You can forget about it, ignore it--

It's going to take more.

You can flee from it, hide from it--

But it's going to take more..

To erase the hate here.

What is it going to take to erase the hate? To stop bullying, suicides, pain? What is it going to take to erase the hate? To stop the cutting, the tears from flowing? Be aware. It's going to take more than ignorance-- To erase the hate here.

Tremendous poem! I love the last line, "It's going to take more than ignorance- To erase the hate here". It was beautifully written and the repetition was a great way to get your point across. Well done.
