The Epic Of Astora

Come forth my people

For I present an idea

An idea that will enthrall you all

Listen to my words with wisdom and faith

For this proposition will change our lives for the better

The land we call dear threatens to enslave us all

For our rivers are drying up

And our soil has yet to become stone

The homes we cherish our happiness in

Are crumbling around us

Pushing us to the outside

So let us leave the land we once knew

And venture into the great unknown

To seek wealth,

Wisdom,

And opportunity.

As we march along this path

We must allow determination to take over

For that will get us to our destination

There is no doubt that we will not prevail

But as life moves on,

We are left in hardships

In the unknown, we lack a hearty meal

A filling drink,

Warm skins,

And a shelter to bundle us up in warmth.

On this road, we may be ambushed,

Enslaved,

Or Killed

Understand that I will not let thy rest upon this cursed ground until we have reached a community.

As your leader, I encourage you to believe in my abilities

For as long as you breathe the cleansed air, you will discover the joys of our new kingdom.

Listen to the whistle of the wind.

Take in the melody of the birds.

Soak in the warm sunlight.

I am granting you all ease

Because I have been observing the souls within you.

Even on this tiring expedition,

You remain chipper and patient.

Know that you will be rewarded for your deeds.

Though, keep your resting period brief

Then proceed to walk along the narrow path,

For it is clear that we are almost to salvation.

After exploring for long years of light, we have arrived at paradise.

Venture out into the plains my people

Regard the mystical falls flowing into the enchanted river.

Watch as the jewels in mine radiate with saturance.

Awe at the sight of the mountains that reach the heavens

Skip among the grassy fields

Swing yourself from vine to vine

Take this time to reward yourselves

Harvest the fruits from bushes

Consume the water in raging streams

Throw a feast in celebration of your accomplishments

Collect abundant supplies lumber and moss

Build yourselves a room that will provide nothing but comfort and shelter

Rest your bodies,

And dream of the fields surrounding you,

At the crack of dawn, we work to make this land greater

Everything we hoped for has now come true.

To accommodate the shining stars above,

I declare this land, Astora
