2 Corinthians 4:8-11 New English Translation

8 We are experiencing trouble on every side, but are not crushed; we are perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are knocked down, but not destroyed, 10 always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our body. 11 For we who are alive are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our mortal body.

We live life by the energy of the supernatural life of Christ

His Resurrection Power is sustained and sustaining

It is no guarantee that weakness leaves for certain

God’s work will not suffer because our flaws are reigning

God never dispenses His Life and Strength so we may consume it selfishly

God gives His Strength to us so we can surely die to ourselves

For to do that on our own is through instinct surely impossible

The natural at times appears so strong that it hardly can be shelved
