Endure

Seasons change,
But all to quickly.
Right when skin starts to boil,
The ice pierces ever so strictly.

Trudging through this deadly winter,
A light flickers of warmth.
what is this glimmer,
But the strike of the first storm.

The rain dances along the street.
Its playful rhythm strings a melody.
But these are the lies we keep.

Seasons change
With a thunderous boom,
The melody leaves its stage.

Lights flash,
And danger brews.
The wind continues to lash,
As chaos ensues.

Once a raindrop,
So innocent and sweet.
Turned chaos without stop
Bringing the earth to its knees.

Seasons change,
So rapid and fast.
What does one do,
But try to last.
