Empty

Empty shelves, empty room
Empty heart hear it boom
Hear her lungs, they still breathe
Not a want or a need
Life still moves, it didn't quit
Though she stops, doesn't bother with it
She drops everything she loves and anyone she knows
Who think it’s something she'll outgrow
But she doesn't
She tries to deal in her own way
Living with it day by day
The hollow feeling, and her emptiness
What could have prepared her for this
Nothing she knew had let her know
This was where her life would go
What could she do
To make it though
Nothing
She felt nothing not that she wanted to
She was ready to pack up and just move
To whatever lay beyond the abyss of her existence
Somewhere without the relational distance
She was done with all the liars and the fakes
The ones who denied their mistakes
The ones who passed the blame
The ones who couldn't take the shame
So she quit
