Eli's Demise

Location

There lie Eli, face-down.

His lip was split open, red with blood all around.

Rib cage busted

Eyes bruised with the brown of his eye looking glazed and rusted

Eli looked up to see what he hoped was the face of his enemy

To his dismay, he only saw me

I looked at him full of emotion

He looked at me eyes full of commotion

He asked me to help him up and away from here

Please my dear please help me I need to get to the person who did this

I said to him what do you want to do once you get there?

I want to get revenge on that man fair is fair

Ah I see well I guess I could help by time we get there maybe…

Just maybe you will have change your mind

I reached down to lend him my hands of which were tainted

I grabbed his arm which was painted

Painted red just as the rest of him

He leaned on to me with a wince of pain and we began our walk

He looked confused as we walked down that path

He looked at me and I saw his grin, I was weary of his wrath

With his face a glow in the midnight moon he looked like a loon

Eye’s now blood shot anger arising

We’re still on the way down this path of bruising

This path, its light is going out. It’s all so confusing

But still he walked with a determined passion

He looked to me and asked could we fassin

I said on to him my young man why do we have to run

Making this walk is half the fun

He looks at me and asks of me my name

So out of the shame

I say’s to him my name? My name is unimportant

Unimportant? You say well why oh why would you say this to me?

Do you know what I could do to you? Pain far worse than that of a bee

Ha! You say this like you have a choice in the matter

Just an hour ago I met you, almost dead lying there in the clutter

Again I ask of you your name?

Please no! I beg of you, I say in shame

Now! You make me grow weary just hearing your nonsense

It will just bring you pain I swear it true

Somehow I think I’ll make it trough

Fine, fine first I ask of you who are you?

Who am I? I am just a poor ol’ man beatin’ down

I gave him a frown

From what you say, you seem a good man

From what you say I should be a fan!

Indeed, indeed that is correct I am a good man

A honorable one at that

Now stop this nonsense will you tell me who you are now?

Fine, fine I guess it’s time you know I am the devil how are you now?

His face grew white

He slipped from my grip on to the ground

He looked on to me and screamed no, no you must be lying?

He said on to me almost crying

No, no you see this path of vengeance you thought you were on?

It’s not as it seems it’s the path to heck, Hades the one in the ground.

I had hoped maybe you would change on the way down this path

But no you decided on wrath

You see this light I hold in my hand?

This is heaven and it has slipped away from you just as sand does between your fingers

Please can you give me another chance please I beg of you

Hmm let’s see how you know who thinks of you

I through my hands in the air and a growing light began to shine

The great one himself was now sitting on his shrine

There in his chamber the man dropped to the ground g-god he stuttered

Could this be true my path of vengeance has it led me to you? He shuttered

Ha! You think the dastardly things you’ve done in your past could ever be forgiven?

You must be mistaken

I’m only here to see for myself his sentencing. Do you or do I get his soul

Hmm I see. Well he’s a liar a cheater a dirty weasel his heart is a dark hole

This greasy scoundrel doesn't deserve either

You shall spend your days as the reaper
