Electric Blue

What does it mean?

Popping electric blue –

Daily times two

Doctor says, “you’ll feel better, it’s true”

But you don’t even realize

Sad eyes, manic eyes

Just a teacher

Hardly human at all

We pace the halls of the school

We preach and teach

I try to cure you

I panic and take that emergency blue

My thoughts they race

Again we pace

The school bell rings, the voices I chase

I stop and just beg that you learn

Hundreds of faces smiling, laughing

Voices yearning for attention

Sometimes I stop – just to breathe

What if I can’t do this anymore?

Hey, I’m just trying to save the world

But this disease of the mind I cannot cure

How difficult it is, and you don’t realize

The amazing race I face
