effort

"you're just lazy"

I hear it from my mom,

my boyfriend,

my teachers,

my coaches,

just about every

valuable person

in my life.

To me,

Im merely

surviving.

"why don't you do your homework?"

I hear it from my mom,

my boyfriend,

my teachers,

my coaches,

just about every valuable person in my life.

I tell them yet again

I'm just

surviving.

I've tried.

I promise

I've tried.

I set goals

I focus so hard

I give my goals

my all

everything I've got

but

I still

fall

short.

I followed everyones advice.

I did just what they told me to.

Why is my life falling apart?

I ask

my mom,

my boyfriend,

my teachers,

my coaches,

just about every valuable person in my life.

"you're just lazy"
