On The Edge of Life

Location

•You know how it feel when somebody always on your case
•You try to push them away, and they still find a way.
•To antagonize you, when your not in the mood.
•And they call you the bad guy, when you get rude.
•Not thinking about, anyone's feelings, only yourself.
• Cause when you're down, nobody wants to help.
•They leave you alone, when you wanna' cry.
•Especially as a black guy, at this time.
•You gotta stay strong, can't be weak.
•Cause in the streets of Philly, that's way you eat.
•Bullets flying everywhere, it ain't fair.
•Somebody son got shot, over there.
•Momma call me worrying about her child.
•Is he okay, is he still around.
•I tell my mom, everything gon' be okay.
•That's why she sent me away, to college, to do something with my life.
•In the future, my family finances gon' be nice.
•I'm just tryna' do something right.
•Just gotta' live my life.
•Make my momma proud, let her scream out loud, with happiness.
•Haters hate to see me shine, and that's sad.
•But it's motivation, motivation.
•That stops me from doing something so crazy.
•Living with no regrets, no regrets.
•In the mean time, tell me what's next.
•All I need are respect and checks.
•Have a low tolerance for disrespect.
•You gotta stand your ground, towards anybody coming around.
•I'm on the edge of life,
•Don't push me, I just might wanna' fight.
