Eclipse
The long, blinding rays shocked him.
His hands glowed silver, reaching for her brilliance.
She peered into the darkness, aching for his touch,
They gazed across
the red-orange sky, raw with
heartache.
They reach for one another,
only to find
the space between.
Ribbons of light unfurl, drawing them
together.
They are alone
but,
even with the darkness between,
they find their eyes
to see, once again,
the light.
