Eating Your Secret

In the mirror is not your reflection,

But instead the trader within.

She looks at you in disgust,

Knowing that she’ll win.

Poking at your curves,

Pinching at your skin.

She says you’ll never be good enough,

So give in, to her sins.

Refuse the food in front of you

Lie that some came prior.

Remember she’s always in control,

Or you’d regret it later.

Don't bother telling anyone,

She’ll just zip your lips and grin.

There’s no escaping her,

Even as you age.

You’re stuck with Ms. Perfection,

You’ll take her to your grave.
