Easter Sunday

Today is Easter Sunday

The grass is a little greener

The flowers are beginning to say hello

The chill in the air seems less invasive

It’s time to wake up, get out of bed

Feel the blood pumping in your veins

Take a hot shower to stir you

let the steam fill the room like a cloud

It’s Easter again, the day to remember

To remind you that better days are approaching

That winter isn’t as endless as it feels

That death is not the end of our story

Take yourself to church

Wherever that may be

In your yard, in your mind, at the beach

Maybe even a real church

Let yourself breathe

The hardest part is over

Today is Easter Sunday

6 months until October

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
