Earth's Dance

The sun emits fading rays
Warm breeze brings still air to life
Twirling and spinning, the wind invites leaves
To dance in unison, touching the warm earth
Arriving at tiny bare feet
A little girl giggles
Leaves begin to tingle
Breeze swirls and embraces
Stepping to the melody of red robins
The girl joins their dance
Spinning with a smile more radiant than the sun
But, alas, mother calls from the distance
Her voice gliding with the song of robins
Calling softly, as the sky slowly fades
The girl enjoys one last twirl with the breeze
One last spin with the leaves
Applauds the performance of the robins
Sharing a last smile, she begins
To follow that sweet voice to a familiar face
Knowing she can always come back
