Drowning the World in Song

I ran

I had broken

And yet, still I ran on

The second, much worse, shattered, wrong

I drown

Look up

Fill up your chest

With your dearest first love

Let loose the voice held in so long

I sang

Breathe in

Opening up

To the stars, to the core

The universe must hear my song

I sing
