drowning in music

sitting at grandfather's anccient piano,

letting the broken melodies she creates fill the room.

5 years old girl would find her passion,

and her love of music starts to bloom.

Fast foward 13 years,

She now knows all of her fears;

of not being nearly enough,

the feild of preforming is tough.

She lets her mentor down,

she feels as she's about to drown.

But when she reaches for a breath of air,

a life saving melody is still there.

She tries to make her friends proud,

and the voice in her says out loud,

don't them do it for them, but yourself

and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Even through I face rejection everyday,

music keeps me going through hard times.

Rythem and words speak to me,

as I've spoken to your through these lines.
