I’m drowning in myself

I can’t catch a break

And can’t catch a breath

I’m drowning, the darkness spreading

Seeping into my heart

And seeping into the fabric of my soul

Teach me how to keep the water out

I’m shivering, trembling silently

As I sink deeper and farther away

Soon I’ll be done

With the water in my lungs and the air far gone

My mind is gone too
