Asleep.
An abundance of joy overwhelms
The sadness I have today.
I dream of hidden treasures I shall soon see,
far away I will find them.
Awake.
I see them “dream snatchers”,
Snatching at my joy
Stealing and burying my hidden treasure,
Even farther than before
Asleep.
I can feel such happiness
Never ending joy
Far less than perfect;
but perfect enough for me.
Awake.
Too late for them I have found it.
They are searching for my joy
But this time they can’t touch it,
for my dreams lay here in my heart.
