Dragons

I have some lurking dragons

Dragons that are not out for blood,

But to see my faith fail

Not to encourage or enlighten me,

but to frighten and intimidate.

These wrong doers try so hard,

and yet so little, and somehow I

let the attempts reach out and grab me.

I shiver into a state of depression,

I let these dragons win,

I let these dragons succeed,

and I, I am left to suffer,

Watching the days go by and

my sadness grow deeper.

With no one around to help me,

I call out with no answer.

God is here for me, I just

have not been shown the best path.

I have some lurking dragons, but

unwisely, I have let them win.
