Double dare

Romans 5:7-8

(For rarely will anyone die for a righteous person,

though for a good person perhaps someone might possibly dare to die.)

8 But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners,

Christ died for us.

Dare me to understand and I will show my blindness

Dare me to step out on faith and I’ll curl up in kindness

Dare me to touch a hand and I’ll expose God’s love

Dare me to draw pictures on my way to the “above”

Dare me to sing a song when grief has conquered me

Dare me to smile happily when sadness buries me deep

Dare me to trust my God when faith seems drained away

Dare me to reach beyond the plot that temporal wants to play
