Door open-er

I imagine capturing one moment in time

Click! And it’d be mine

I could look back and see

Exactly where I used to be

But taking pictures could take me somewhere

Maybe it’d be models with their perfect hair

But maybe it’d be raw

Something nobody had ever saw

I’d travel the world

In hopes of capturing that one little girl

With dirt on her face and rags on her bones

Maybe it’d hit the heart of someone back home

And maybe it’d be me

With my camera and work ethic of a busy bee

Who opened the door that would change the world of that one little girl

I imagine capturing one moment in time

Click! And it’d be mine

I could look back and see

Exactly where I used to be

But taking pictures could take me somewhere

Maybe it’d be models with their perfect hair

But maybe it’d be raw

Something nobody had ever saw

I’d travel the world

In hopes of capturing that one little girl

With dirt on her face and rags on her bones

Maybe it’d hit the heart of someone back home

And maybe it’d be me

With my camera and work ethic of a busy bee

Who opened the door that would change the world of that one little girl
