Don't Wish Your Time Away

It’s funny
How when we were kids
The time just felt so slow
And we’d wish it’d race on forward
Oh god how we didn’t know
And now we see
How fast time is
As the years keep going by
And we sit here
And just waste them
Then question how they fly
But I’ve had the chance
To discover
The reality of time
And that’s that
If you don’t keep moving forward
Then life will go on alone
So pick up your feet
Get on the beat
Be your life’s melody
Not a drone
