Don't Tell Nobody

If the walls could speak,

Then would they scream?

As they watch us dance on the shards of our broken dreams?

Worlds falling apart,

Dreams shattered; like broken glass scattered in every direction

Dance upon the broken dreams,

Hear the watching walls scream.

The shards cut deep, leaving scars upon the soul.

Who to trust, who to tell?

Don’t tell nobody, don’t tell a soul.

Keep it hushed, quiet, hidden, locked away.

Hide it away.

Smile through the pain,

Dance to the melody of screams,

Dance, dance, never stop!

Dance upon the broken dreams.

Dance until we can’t breathe.

Don’t tell nobody,

Keep quiet,

Keep dancing.

Dance until our feet bleed.

The walls scream, but we stay hushed.

We smile, we dance.

Dance until our bones ache, until they break.

Smile through the pain,

Who to trust, who to tell?

Don’t tell nobody, don’t tell a soul.

Reach out, call out for help!

Who would come?

Who would come for a scattered soul dancing on the shards of broken dreams, painting the floor a crimson red?

Dance your silent dance,

Smile your sweet smile,

Laugh at the screaming walls.

Just don’t tell nobody,

Not even your own soul
