Don't Look

Location

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain

Says the voice of the little man caught in his own lie

He asks you to ignore his physical form

and instead focus on the facade

Pay no attention to the girl with the plastic smile

and enough red lipstick to seal one hundread valentines

she begs you to see

who she wishes she could be

but really it too is her facade

Pay no attention to those who need it most

don't look, and maybe they're stories will be lost

Pay no attention to the truth of the world

and maybe it will all go away
