Donald Trump

  Donald Trump
By
Charlie Barnett

Am I hearing things
As set here on my rump?
When my wife walked in,
“Are we gonna vote for Trump.”

“Woman have you lost your mind.
Certainly  not, I’m no chump.”
“Then be a dumb looser;
I’m voting for Donald Trump.”

I was loading the weekly trash,
To carry to the city  dump.
When my neighbor strolled over
“Ha Jim, guess you’re voting for Trump.”

I pulled in at the self service.
And just I started to pump,
A old army buddy drove up
“Hi Jim!  You’re voting for Trump.”

For crying out loud.
I know this country is in a slump.
So- I’m about convinced.
We need to vote for Donald Trump

I turn on the TV
It comes on with a thump
And who’s leading the poles-
None other than Donald Trump

No matter what he says
His lead always seem to jump
I don’t believe he can be stopped
We’re talking about Donald Trump.

I think he’s heading for the Capital.
Their will be laughs and tears.
But be sure of one thing,
He’ll be the best President we’ve had in years.
