Diversity

Location

I wish I understood diversity.

I wish I understood why

people discriminate against

others who are not alike

them.

I wish I understood why

one should be called

an outcast simply by the

color of her hair,

Or the way she covers

herself in material

comfortable to her human

liking,

Or was is it the color

of her skin? Was

she too pale, too dark,

to in-between for your

liking?

Or did you also think to

separate her from others

simply by the way she breathes?

After all we are all

human,

nothing more then flesh

and bone.

Intellectual minds that are

diverse and beautiful,

Intriguing souls that devour

all of lifes every day

emotions.

So tell me, are we

all not the same?
