The miles that separate us

By the opinionated people.

 

We will fight for our rights.

It will be a war

Between our hearts and

Our ever-changing emotions.

 

Let’s not sugar-coat it.

This life will be complicated.

Our emotions will run wild.

Sometimes, we will lose our path.

 

But in the end,  the distance

Will not separate us,

Define us,

Or destroy us.

We will stand together,

Even when we are far apart.
