A Discontinuity of Sorts

Location

The bliss, the calm, the peace of ocean waves.

I walk along the beach of salty smells,

The sound of water splashing up on caves.

Hot sun upon the sparkling sea shells.

A puppet without strings I lay at rest.

No sounds around, complete serenity.

Blue skies, so clear, too gorgeous to digest.

Blank paper holds further complexity.

The blues and greens of water out of reach.

The bustle and hustle of busy streets

Have no compare to my abandoned beach.

And once I close my eyes I feel complete.

The mind will dream idealistically,

We wake and must think realistically
