Dignity

Dignity

When I walk I walk with dignity.

When people stare I walk right by.

When people ask questions I answer

I answer

I say I have a disability when I know it's a

Disease.

A disease that cripples my gate.

A disease that challenges me.

I am strong

Not because I have this disease

But because I fight this disease

This disease which not a lot of people

Have

This is what I have this disease seems

Like a burden But to me it is a gift

To see how others look

Others stare

But because I fight this disease

I know it can’t kill me but I would

Love to find a cure for all the others

With this disease
