Different

No longer will my life

be subject to society's rules

of how a female should act, look, and do

because rusty jewels

have the same value

I am  tomboy

so I won't go down that avenue

No longer will anyone

trode over me for self gain

for I speak, so I can speak again

I am stronger

so I can do more

No longer will I care

when friends judge my decision

to obey, something they can't bear.

They speculate I'm in prison, but I refuse to be a rebel.

I choose to be obedient to my parents

despite surmised opinions

and thats how it should be

because I am me

so who are you?
