Deteriorated Soul

Location

Click, click, and click

The moment has been captured in time forever

My face, my body

All for the world to see

What’s behind the exterior they do not know

The smile on my face hides the insecurities my mind constantly repeat

The joyful eyes do not show the anger and sadness I wish would disappear

The chubby face never gives way to the depression which will reach 10 years this month

The head of curls do not display the stress that consumes my body

The curviness of my body does not show my shattered, crippled, and deteriorated soul

The 5’11 frame with a straight back does not give way the little girl on the floor screaming

It only shows me.
