Depression

Psalm 143:7-8 New English Translation (NET Bible)

Answer me quickly, Lord.
My strength is fading.
Do not reject me,
or I will join those descending into the grave.
8 May I hear about your loyal love in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
because I long for you.

Depression

Always searching for a way out, discovering more trouble

As you are going backward and seeing what you sowed

Never new surroundings, just in an embrace with your double

Your life has not changed as you still have your past in tow

There is no escaping from it since yourself is always with you

Even at your last breath, indeed, you’ll find yourself hanging around

No matter what you think, depression always moves forward

three steps ahead of you, most of the time resting on common ground

Dressed up like a clone, it seems to your detriment

Until you get sick of it and you decide to live a new day

It won’t be all around you then or hinders every movement

unless you pick it up again and not shove it out of the way
