Depression

Talk to me about depression

And what it feels like to be lost and hopeless

Where loneliness exceeds all expectations

Where darkness is smelled and tasted and felt

Around you like a very wet heavy blanket

Talk to me about depression and what it feels like

Not to want contact with anyone who breathes

Where the cold of the dead calls you

And asks you to lay down beside it

Talk to me about insanity that has a mind of it’s own

And tells you what to think and do

And makes you feel the very essence of hell

Talk to me

Help me
