The Lord says: “Deny yourself”.

I say: “I need my pity”.

Following Christ cost something?

My whole life is that true?

I must die so I may live

that does not seem too pretty?

Give up my will and desires

to find the Only Truth?

 

I thought to understand God’s way

is like a flower garden.

Fragrance overwhelms

and peace is always there.

You know ... like paradise a bit

a world without any problems.

I thought that is what The Lord would give

while I am still in the “here”.

 

I was wrong ... I did not know,

but I am learning every day.

It is not me who lives

but The Lord Jesus through me.

Why do I feel ... I don’t know?

Why do I still reason?

Unless it is God forming me

into what I ought to be.
