5 Are you looking for great things for yourself? Do not look for such things. For I, the Lord, affirm that I am about to bring disaster on all humanity. But I will allow you to escape with your life wherever you go.”’”

 

God gives us a ransom so others may have hope

Are we here to explain "adversity" that God brings to the world?

As such we cannot seek for things for our self for God is in control

And strength from God comes freely as we accept our appointed role

 

John 6:55-57  New English Translation

55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood resides in me, and I in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so the one who consumes me will live because of me.

 

The reserve-power we do not possess so we cannot move as we wish

Each time as we need strength to live, we need to draw on the Lord

“I live because of the Father so who feeds on me (Jesus) will live”

“The bread that comes down from Heaven every day“ is not to be stored

 

The secret of life is in our need of constant trust indeed

To be self-sufficient may be closely related to a curse

To lean on self alone and your material possessions

Will get you quickly for a ride in a “spiritual” hearse

 

Absolutely helpless we are but in Him, we will go forth

The more helpless we are, the more He’ll surely conquer

This pertains to attitude as we live our daily lives for Him

So His power shows a demonstration of how the weak be strong

 

“His strength” combined with “ours” will surely bring defeat

We’ll reap nothing but shame as so we lean on our effort

Our natural strength or weakness completely has to die

To be replaced with trust through faith in a true accord
