Delicate Affinity

Location

How she tells me she is honest,
I can only nod, uneasy inside.
She let me say what was on my mind,
And, listening back, I became fonder.
My once hardened wall broke down,
Leaving only the opportunity for freedom.
I thought things would change,
But it was simply hallucinating thoughts taking over.
Longing to keep us close together,
Oh, I made another mistake yet again.
Fantasy is only realities dream,
Yet I still lose myself in lies.
Distance separates us from whispering the truth,
Thus I remind myself it is a part of fragile youth.
