Many changes have come this last year. Marriage being top, then deciding to quit my full-time job with benefits to go back to school full time. As a young woman and newly married you may understand the pressures of starting a family. The shock on the faces of family when instead of "We're planning to start a family" are not the words out of our mouths but instead "She is quitting her job to go back to school", you could only imagine. With out my husband's support, who I might add already has his degree, I wouldn't have much support at all. I am not "too" old, but will admit that many my age already have their Bacholor's and some even their Master's. This poem is in part a tribute to my husband and also an ode to myself, for making such a drastic change from the woman I was a year ago.
