Definition Poem

The jar stores

what you do not want to lose.

Trapping candies and juice,

among memories and desires.

Sometimes it has no lid

so things are free to go and be shared.

A close companion to invest

your soul in, for

it has no judgements while

holding onto secrets, it

has no quarrel with dreams.

It is a placeholder until secrets disappear,

hunger comes back, and

goals are achieved.

A temporary home for things

we did not know we needed.
