Deeper Than a Reflection

When you look in the mirror what do you see?

I see brown eyes that tell a story,

A story that speaks all on its own,

A story that is not very well-known,

My reflection is a face with countless flaws,

A face that has been gnashed by wicked claws,

A porcelain smile that’s tired of being last,

I may not be perfect, but don’t you see?

I’m not to be judged if you don’t know me.
