Death to a Heart

Mon, 08/11/2014 - 10:21 -- kcorrea

Immobilized thy gaze did leave me
Wilt thou allowest that I be hither
For light shined by thine heaven, did set me free
The yellow god brought Spring warmth for me to dither

Presented with his reflection, Summer larks sing
As an impending blaze now reeked from the sky
The end certainly beconed Spring
Even so, cold whispers as the wind blows by

Thy gaze and gilded heart did another steal
As the yellow god lives further away, come Autumn
It no longer mattered not, to thee, how I feel
Mine heart left murdered, as I find I was always on bottom

A heart died, outcasted by a plague thy placed upon me
How I wish to forever forget thee
