Dearest Galileah
To thee:
Dearest Galileah,
Beautiful newborn girl--birthed as scorpio--racially ambiguous and tiny baby.
Though alien-like you were, you are starting to slowly form the way your cousin did.
Your chubby cheeks have a single dimple when you smile as you suck your mother's nipples aggresively.
Your big ole black eyes, a blackhole that takes away all reasoning, reflect a light in you.
Your arm and leg rolls-- Oh, how adorable ! Your small structure, wrapped like a burrito in the warmth, held tightly in my embrace as you snore away dreaming good dreams-- perhaps, you dream of sliding down your mother's milk. Your baby cry--unique like your cousin's, a soft cry for hunger. You over ride the cuteness and joy that all babies bring in a circle of united family.
To you, the dearest addition to the family, your aunts, grandparents, uncles, and cousin
welcome you with sweet embrace.
Your aunt can't wait until you're able to coo.
From your overjoyed aunt,
this is a poem for you little one.
