Dear Sunshine

You used to be the sunshine
Who gives me hope at night
You used to be the sunshine
For, I will always fight

Sunshine, sunshine, don’t cry
I’m here for you, until I die
You’re never a burden to me
And you know you’ll never be

Push me away, I’m fine
I don’t mind if you’re not mine
Just please don’t feel that way
Not tomorrow, not today, not yesterday

Sunshine please understand and see
Understand the happiness you give to me
See the beauty you cannot see
See the blessing you are to me

Blessing, blessing, oh sunshine so bright
Please don’t be dim, show them your light
You give them the sunshine they need
The sunshine they need, to grow their seed

Stress, stress, you never gave
Me, Me, you always save
So sunshine my dear
There’s nothing to fear

For you’re not a burden
To my life that’s sunken
