Dear Snowfall

Dear Snowfall,

Nothing falls quite like you

You come in like a thief, taking the ground and anything living with your decent

If I slumber with the stars

Your patterns will cover me, consume me

And I would never wake

But what a peaceful way to fall below

You are the symphony of a thousand shimmering sights in the night

Quiet and frozen

Is this also how the oaks fall?

Do you take them quietly as you decend?

Silent in sleep?

Without a trouble in their soul

Every night that I slumber with stars

My leaves grow longer

My branches grow thicker

Then I become the oak

What a peaceful way to fall
