Dear Preteen Tee

Dear Preteen Tee,

You're about to go through many changes
Don't be afraid of them, embrace them
They're going to mold you into a powerful young woman

You're going to lose your father
But don't let it break you
Do everything in your power to make him proud

You'll find solace in a blade
Put it down sweetie
You're stronger than you think
You don't need pain to cope

There's a little fighter in you
But you're scared to let her out
Set her free, let her be your guide
She'll give you strength you never knew you had

An opportunity is going to present itself to you
Take it, ignore that voice saying you can't
You'll regret it forever

People are going to try to keep you silenced
It's okay to speak out
You'll learn your words are you power
Use them now

Sincerely,
 The You That Stayed Silent
