Dear Person

Fri, 12/22/2017 - 18:05 -- Nune5

Dear person

who likes to go around

calling himself my dad

you are not a father

you are not a caretaker

you are not my guardian

you are merely my maker

the minute you left

me stranded alone

was when you gave up your right

to see me graduate

get married

have children

create my own life.

do not be fooled people

for we truly are

the decisions we make.

if you give someone

the power to hurt you

then you must give yourself

the power

to hold them accountable.

There is no

forgiveness

there is no

forgetting

there is only

you

for who you truly are

and me

for who I am

and I love who I am

without you.
