Dear Mom and Dad, 

 

It took me a while.

I know you've waited patiently.

I know you went to bed every night, 

hoping, 

praying. 

It took me a while.

I know you've thought about it frequently.

I know I yelled at you a lot,

screaming,

praying.

It took me a while.

I know you knew what was best,

I know I ignored the obvious,

crying,

praying.

It took me a while, and 

I know you're getting older,

I know I am too,

I know now,
