I know I won’t get through

All the great things I can think of

When I think about you

 

Spanish class was fun

It was personal and engaging

But you taught me so much more

Like how to lighten up and be caring.

 

You helped me break out of my comfort zone

You were an inspiration

You embodied the word “Maestra”

You loved everyone without hesitation

 

Thank you for checking in on me

Even just to say “Hi”

I treasure those messages

Even though they now make me cry

 

Because they truly show

That you still care about me,

Your big heart and kindness,

And how much you love your family

 

I will always be grateful

For being your student.
