Dear Highschool

Dear Highschool,

                You are cruel

Who gets to decide who is lame? Who is cool?

I’m fed up with all the gossip

Who is dating who? That’s always the hot topic.

In the end we’ll all separate anyway.

Pack up, go to college and move away.

Somehow I still get wrapped up and let it go to my head

Should I wear this today? Is that what I should have said?

We lost focus on the bigger picture.

Is doing my homework more important than them? Is the real issue.

We need to make more choices that are beneficial.

Instead of making choices you think will benefit you

To finally make it on the food chain

Is that really where you want to be?

                Its all a mind game.

                She has all the beauty

But she is lacking your brains.

Dear Highschool, you hurt my pride

But somehow I made it out alive…

                And now I’ll stride.
