Dear High school, Challenge me.

Location

Another dawn, another day, summoned by another bell.

With classmates and rules that we compare to hell.

Tis not that I loathe this chance to learn.

But more so that I want these mindless tasks to burn.

These texts books and work sheets, pointless and outdated.

Busy work and packets universially hated.

Lecture me, teach me, feed this hunger to know.

Some may call me crazy but I surely doubt I'm alone.

You are "preparing us for college", repeated countless times.

If that is so put away the elementry tools and nurture this mind.

I have nothing against teachers, this much is true.

But I don't have coffee every day like they to chase away the blues.

So give me a reason to wake up and get dressed.

Please oh please just put this mind to the test.
