Dear God

Dear God,

Why can't I just die?

Then this would all be over,

I wouldn't be constantly screaming in my head,

I wouldn't be like a broken vase, held together by craft glue.

Dear God,

Why won't you let me go?

I could be free,

I wouldn't have to be me,

Like a dove, I will fly from the cage that holds me.

Dear God,

Why are you so cruel?

To leave us like this,

Only blessing the select few?

If you see me like this,

Then why haven't you helped,

Like they promised you would?

They said you were good, kind, and all-powerful,

But if you are, why are we all so sad?
